Traveling to India for Odoo Experience 2026 gave the CU Solution System team something the sessions alone couldn't: real time with the India development team we've worked alongside for six years — mostly through screens, until now.
Beyond The Conference
Key Highlights
- A reunion six years in the making — Managing Director Kitti and Sales Manager Fon both met members of CU's own India development team in person for the first time since the partnership began. After six years of collaborating through calls and screens, sitting down together over a meal made the distance disappear, if only for a couple of days.
- Trading badges for adventure — and a cricket lesson from the India team — not every team-building moment happens in a meeting room. The CU and India teams swapped conference badges for an adventure course together — real challenges, real teamwork, and more than a few laughs along the way. Later, the India team turned the tables and taught CU their own game: a casual, just-for-fun match of cricket, less about the score and more about sharing a piece of home.
- Getting to know the people behind the screen — one evening, the CU and India teams sat down together for a full team dinner: no agenda, just time spent as one team instead of two, with the kind of easy conversation that doesn't happen over a video call. It's also where we got the chance to properly talk with Rutvi, one of our India-based developers — she doesn't start with code, she starts by understanding the problem completely. A small window into a colleague we'd mostly known through a screen, and a good reminder of who's actually behind the work.
- A welcome that included a gift exchange — Sales Manager Fon took part in a gift exchange with the India team, caught on camera. The CU team came home with more than memories: Odoo merch and traditional Indian clothing, gifted by the very colleagues we'd just spent two days getting to know in person.
✨ CU Solution System x Odoo ✨
It's easy to think of a development team as a line item — hours logged, tickets closed. This trip was a reminder that it's people first: people who traded a conference badge for an adventure course without hesitation, and who think as carefully about a client's problem as Rutvi described. That discipline — understand first, build second — isn't something that shows up by accident. It's the same approach carried into every project CU delivers here in Thailand, and meeting the people behind it in person made that a lot more real.
